Title of Question |
Communal Bins Craven Vale |
Issue: |
Broken and damaged communal bins are not being replaced. |
Background: |
There was an Estate Walkabout in Craven Vale area on 13th July 2022. Communal bins that needed replacement/repair in Parham Close were identified. However, these have not yet been replaced or repaired. |
Action requested by residents: |
Residents would like to know: What is the Council’s policy on replacement of damaged communal bins? |
Officer contact details: |
Hilary Edgar, hilary.edgar@brighton-hove.gov.uk |
Officer Response: |
We will repair/replace communal bins when needed. Rather than replace on an ad hoc basis we are looking at a programme of replacement for these and other bins of a similar age and condition. Although, replacement may take longer, this approach will provide better value for money. |
Action: |
We will update Area Panels when we have more detailed information on the replacement programme. |
